.NET Developer

Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled .NET Developer to support a critical code migration initiative, converting legacy .NET Framework applications, web services, and APIs to modern .NET platforms using C#. This is a 100% on-site contract role based in Montgomery, AL, requiring strong hands-on C# expertise and a security clearance process.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Participate in the migration of web applications and services from .NET Framework to modern .NET

·        Rewrite ASP.NET Web Forms applications into Blazor Server applications using custom frameworks/libraries

·        Convert WCF web services into RESTful APIs built on .NET 6 and above

·        Write clean, maintainable, and reliable C# code aligned with team coding standards

·        Perform functional testing to validate code accuracy and reliability

·        Debug and optimize code for performance and reliability

·        Write and interact with Microsoft SQL Server via SQL queries

·        Collaborate with management through regular meetings and active participation in code reviews

Required Skills & Certifications:

·        1+ year of experience writing clean, maintainable C# code following best practices

·        Proficiency in C# and .NET (strongly preferred over other languages)

·        Experience writing SQL statements and working with Microsoft SQL Server

·        Solid understanding of software development best practices

·        Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

·        Must pass ALEA background check and drug screening

·        High School Diploma Minimum Experienced Non-manager level

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

·        Prior experience with ASP.NET Web Forms to Blazor Server migrations

·        Familiarity with converting WCF services to RESTful APIs

·        Eligibility/interest in potential conversion to Merit status

Scheduling & Logistics:

·        Location: Montgomery, AL (100% on-site)

·        Contract Length: 6–12 months (possible extension, not guaranteed)

·        Hours: 40 hrs/week
