Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, defects, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and production lines.
• Conduct routine maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment histories.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for recurring breakdowns.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe work practices within the maintenance workshop and production areas.
• Assist in spare parts management and inventory control for maintenance activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in maintenance within an FMCG food manufacturing environment.
• Must have experience working in a dairy or ice cream production facility.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and equipment maintenance skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in shift-based operations.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery and maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and food manufacturing standards
