Required qualifications

Applicants must have:

• A degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
• Five years of proven experience in event and corporate relations, marketing campaign management, brand management and sales.
• Tanzanian nationality.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Computer skills.
• A high level of discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Effective time-management skills.

Key responsibilities

The Marketing and Corporate Relations Manager will be responsible for:

• Implementing marketing and advertising campaigns by:
  • Assembling and analysing sales forecasts.
  • Preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans and objectives.
  • Planning and organising promotional presentations.
  • Updating calendars.
• Preparing marketing reports by collecting, analysing and summarising sales data.
• Ensuring promotional materials are available by coordinating requirements for flyers, brochures and other advertising materials.
• Researching competitors by identifying and evaluating their products and services, market share, pricing and marketing strategies.
• Planning meetings and trade shows by:
  • Identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements.
  • Establishing contacts.
  • Developing schedules and assignments.
  • Coordinating mailing lists.
• Setting sales goals, analysing data and developing training programmes for the organisation’s staff.
• Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes to capture key demographics.
• Meeting customers to discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of the company’s relationship with existing customers.
• Building strategic relationships and partnering with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
