Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate
levels, especially on the subject areas of Plant Biology; Soil Biology and Biochemistry;
Environmental Biotechnology and Bioremediation; Forestry Entomology and Pathology;
and related areas.
Teach and supervise undergraduate students.
Participating in outreach programmes.
Sourcing research funding for the Department.
Conduct and publish research.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science,
Conservation Biology or related field with a Merit or better.
A Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent with a 2.1 or
better.
Possession of a PhD in a related field, along with teaching experience at the tertiary level
will be an added advantage.
