Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
 The successful candidate will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate
levels, especially on the subject areas of Plant Biology; Soil Biology and Biochemistry;
Environmental Biotechnology and Bioremediation; Forestry Entomology and Pathology;
and related areas.
 Teach and supervise undergraduate students.
 Participating in outreach programmes.
 Sourcing research funding for the Department.
 Conduct and publish research.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
 Applicants must possess a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science,
Conservation Biology or related field with a Merit or better.
 A Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent with a 2.1 or
better.
 Possession of a PhD in a related field, along with teaching experience at the tertiary level
will be an added advantage.
