Janitor/Cleaner

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, and common areas according to clinic protocols
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; empty trash and replace liners
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, railings, chairs, countertops) to control infection risk
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazard/medical waste in compliance with regulations
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
• Follow all health, safety, and infection-control guidelines (e.g., clinic-specific policies)
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage of chemicals and tools
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare or clinical setting
• Knowledge of proper cleaning/disinfecting procedures and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
• Understanding of infection control practices (or willingness to be trained)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
