Information communication technology officer II (computer system security)

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting in analysing FCC’s information needs in relation to information technology and the library.
• Conducting information systems reviews and recommending appropriate improvements.
• Recommending appropriate library materials for acquisition.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of the IT-based public register.
• Implementing ICT policies and strategies.
• Undertaking maintenance of ICT systems and providing timely solutions.
• Implementing and maintaining the Commission’s IT security and disaster recovery plan.
• Assisting in preparing periodic reports on the status of information technology and systems management within the organization.
• Performing any other duties that may be assigned by their superior.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Computer system science
• Computer engineering
• Information technology
• Information systems and network engineering
• Information and communication technology
• Software engineering
• Database administration
• Computer system analysis
• Computer system security
• Network administration
• Information and communication systems management
• An equivalent computer-related qualification from a recognized institution
