• Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Company.

Promote sound corporate governance and accountability.

Review and approve investment opportunities and business proposals.

Monitor financial performance and organizational sustainability.

Support resource mobilization and investment attraction initiatives.

Participate in Board Committees and special assignments.

Safeguard the interests of the shareholder and stakeholders.

Contribute to policy development and risk management.

• Requirements
• Be citizens or permanent residents of Botswana
• Be a local expert (North East District) with domain-specific expertise

Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. A Master’s Degree or professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Have at least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in senior management, executive leadership, board, or advisory roles.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of corporate governance principles.

Have no criminal record involving fraud, corruption, financial misconduct, or dishonesty.

Be able to dedicate sufficient time to Board and Committee responsibilities.

Be independent and free from conflicts of interest that may compromise their duties as Directors.

For Position 1 (Investment, Finance and Corporate Strategy Expert): Demonstrable expertise and extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: Corporate Finance and Investment Management, Financial Analysis and Project Appraisal, Infrastructure Financing and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Asset Management and Portfolio Development, Commercialization and Business Development, Banking, Capital Markets and Development Finance, Corporate Strategy and Enterprise Growth, Risk Management and Corporate Governance.

For Position 2 (Property Development, Infrastructure and Economic Development Expert): Demonstrable expertise and extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: Property Development and Real Estate Investment, Urban and Regional Planning, Infrastructure Development and Project Management, Industrial and Commercial Estate Development, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development, Agribusiness and Rural Economic Development, Land Use Planning and Spatial Development, Engineering, Construction and Built Environment.
