- Responsibilities
Supporting the Senior Improvement Engineer in establishing and maintaining business improvement processes.
Assisting departments in identifying value drivers, constraints, and buffers across the mining value chain.
Facilitating value stream mapping (VSM) and value chain diagnostics.
Assisting with identifying, prioritising, and tracking improvement initiatives.
Developing dashboards and reporting tools using data analytics (Excel, Power BI, databases).
Monitoring performance against business plan targets and highlighting variances.
Supporting operational departments in root cause analysis and corrective action development.
Assisting in data collection and validation for value optimisation initiatives.
Participating in cross-functional workshops to identify operational bottlenecks.
Supporting communication and reporting of improvement initiatives to management.
- Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in mining engineering, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or eligibility to register
Minimum of 2-5 years operational or technical experience within mining, mineral processing, or related engineering disciplines
- Previous site-based operational and/or technical experience highly regarded
- Has planned and executed continuous improvement projects
Optional: Comprehensive international experience in similar underground mining operations with various roles and sites over the world
- Knowledge of the whole mining value chain
- Knowledge of key principles of database management
