About Satellite Foundation
Satellite Foundation connects and empowers young people aged 8 to 25 who have a family member living with mental health challenges through creative, peer-based in-person and online programs.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Partnerships and Contracts, the Impact and Evaluation Lead develops Satellite's organisation-wide evaluation approach, coordinates data collection and translates evidence for service improvement, executive and Board reporting, funding submissions and public communications.
Key responsibilities
- Translate program logics into evaluation plans, data requirements, methods and collection schedules.
- Design and govern quantitative and qualitative data collection tools across program streams.
- Set data quality standards and maintain CRM and data integrity in line with consent, privacy and child-safety requirements.
- Analyse findings and prepare impact reporting for operational, Executive and Board decision-making.
- Coordinate the annual impact report and funding evidence and coach staff to use data for improvement.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and at least three years of monitoring and evaluation experience in community, health or social services.
- Experience with qualitative methods, including interviews, focus groups and case studies.
- Well-developed data management capability, including CRM systems, quality and integrity.
- Ability to communicate evaluation findings clearly to operational, executive and public audiences.
- Understanding of issues affecting children, young people and families where a family member experiences mental health challenges.
- Ability to coordinate several workstreams in a small, dynamic team.
Highly regarded: outcomes frameworks, theory of change, co-design, lived-experience workforces and coaching colleagues to use data and evaluation.
