- OVERVIEW
As Recruitment Machines, our client in the critical minerals exploration sector is seeking a proactive and experienced HSEC Professional to lead Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) compliance at its Zomba site. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring environmental compliance, supporting community engagement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with relevant Malawian regulations.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementing health and safety policies.
Monitoring workplace safety and environmental compliance.
Conducting incident investigations and safety reporting.
Promoting safe work practices.
Supporting risk assessments.
Engaging with surrounding communities and stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with applicable occupational health and environmental legislation.
- Requirements
- KEY REQUIREMENTS
Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
Working knowledge of the Malawi Occupational Safety, Health and Welfare Act.
Experience in incident investigation and safety reporting.
Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Willingness to be based on-site in Zomba.
Experience in community liaison or stakeholder engagement.
