Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely rig and crew mobilization.

• Conduct field surveys and investigations to assess groundwater conditions.

• Perform site visits to investigate terrain accessibility for heavy machinery.

• Perform hydrogeological surveys and electrical resistivity logging to identify viable drilling locations.

• Conduct comprehensive geotechnical surveys, including site investigation and sample collection, to facilitate laboratory testing for mining and construction development projects.

• Provide real-time drilling supervision and advisory decisions as the borehole progresses.

• Collect soil, rock cuttings, and water samples during the drilling process.

• Design and implement step tests and pumping tests to determine the hydraulic properties of aquifers.

• Analyze geological and hydrogeological data using specialized software and techniques.

• Prepare detailed reports, maps, and technical illustrations to support findings and recommendations.

• Monitor and assess existing groundwater resources to ensure sustainable use.

• Provide technical guidance on groundwater projects and translate technical data into actionable insights for diverse client audiences.

• Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, and private clients.

• Liaise with relevant water authorities for necessary drilling approvals and borehole registration.

• Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and permit regulations.

• Maintain organized records and documentation that support transparent client interactions and accurate project accounting.

• Identify and resolve client-related bottlenecks in administrative workflows.

• Compile the final Borehole Completion Record (BCR) to provide a reference point for future use and maintenance.

• Stay updated with new methodologies, technologies, and best practices in hydrogeology.

• Uphold accountability, knowing that your data influences long-term water planning and operational success.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a closely related Earth Science field.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of active field experience in Hydrogeological surveys, drilling supervision and pump test analysis.

• Proficiency in hydrogeological modeling software and GIS tools.

• Excellent service-oriented communication, high integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Willingness to travel to remote field sites.
