Overview:
Our client is a well-established manufacturer/distributor that provides products to a wide customer base. Due to expansion of its regional base, they are seeking a strategic and results-oriented finance professional with strong analytical and compliance expertise to join the Guyana-based team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of financial reports, plans, forecasts, budgets, reconciliation, audits and taxation to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, revenues and financial performance. Implement financial management procedures and controls.
Conduct risk management and competitive analysis. Advise on potential financial risks and provide recommendations.
Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
Manage investments and capital activities. Identify cost reduction and analyze trends.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / business with at least 5 years’ experience in a Finance leadership role; OR completion of ACCA or similar accounting designation with 4 years’ experience in a Finance leadership role.
Proficient in accounting systems, with specific experience in SAGE and/or similar ERP and accounting systems. Experience with SAGE Intacct would be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SMEs.
Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
A proactive approach to problem solving.
High level of interpersonal, communication and leadership skills across a diverse community.
Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
Detail-oriented, with a readiness to Champion best practices.
Open to learning, adaptability, and innovation with a growth mindset.
