Make your work matter even more…
At Joseph’s Corner, our team does meaningful clinical work while helping sustain a service that has supported families impacted by a loved one’s addiction for more than 26 years.
For over 26 years, Joseph’s Corner has walked alongside individuals and families impacted by a loved one’s addiction. Many of the people who come to us are carrying trauma, grief, fractured trust, stigma and deep isolation. Our role is to offer genuine care, safety and a place where people can begin to find their way back to hope, strength and connection.
Because we receive no government funding, we are growing our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) clinician network. The income generated through our EAP work directly helps fund our free and low-cost counselling and support for families experiencing the devastating effects of addiction.
By joining our EAP network, you can support employees through EAP counselling while also helping ensure vulnerable families can continue to access the care they need.
About the opportunity
We’re looking for warm, experienced clinicians to join our growing EAP network on a self-employed, sessional basis.
You’ll provide EAP counselling to employees experiencing a range of personal, emotional, relationship and workplace challenges, while also contributing to the sustainability of Joseph’s Corner’s specialist support services.
This is an opportunity to combine flexible clinical work with a purpose that extends beyond each individual session.
You choose the days and hours you work and can fit sessions around family commitments, your other professional work, or study. Clients can be seen via telehealth from your home or, if appropriate for you, from our welcoming rooms in Yarraville.
You’ll also become part of a small, caring organisation where people genuinely matter, and compassion is valued over bureaucracy.
About you
We’re looking for clinicians who are compassionate, experienced and committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
You’ll need to meet one of the following professional pathways:
- Clinical PACFA (not Certified Practising), with at least 3 years’ experience
- ACA Level 3 or above, with at least 3 years’ experience
- AHPRA registration, with at least 5 years’ experience
- AASW registration, with at least 5 years’ experience
Most importantly, we’re looking for clinicians who bring warmth, empathy, professionalism and a genuine desire to help people through challenging times.
What you’ll receive
Flexible work: Choose when you work and fit sessions around your existing commitments.
Choice of location: Provide sessions from home via telehealth or from our Yarraville rooms.
Meaningful work: Support employees while helping fund counselling for families affected by addiction.
Supportive environment: Be connected to a small, values-driven team that genuinely cares about its clinicians and clients.
Self-employment support: Already self-employed? Great. New to self-employment? We can support you through the process.
Additional Income: EAP sessions are currently paid at $75-$90 per session, with our clinicians receiving 70% of the session fee.
Why Joseph’s Corner?
We believe people deserve a safe place to be heard without judgement.
Our clients have told us:
“Joseph’s Corner is the only place where I’ve felt like I could say all this without someone judging me or telling me to be strong or grateful”
“I want this support to be there for the next parent who feels like they’re drowning...”
That is the heart of what we do.
When you join our EAP clinician network, your work has a ripple effect: you support an employee in the moment they need help, while your work also helps another family access the specialised care they desperately need.
Interested?
If this sounds like an opportunity that aligns with your experience and values, we’d love to hear from you.
