Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
 Supervise research projects for postgraduate and undergraduate students.
 Teach the following modules: Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Introduction to
Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Animal Biotechnology.
 Supervise research projects for postgraduate and undergraduate students.
 Attract and manage research grants.
 Participate in outreach activities.
 Participate in income generation.
 Innovate and facilitate service delivery.
 Participate in curriculum development.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
 Ideally, the successful candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in Applied
Microbiology and Biotechnology, Biology or related with Merit and a Bachelor of
Science Honours degree in Biological Sciences (Microbiology and Genetics) or related
field with a 2.1 or better.
 A PhD in the related field will be an added advantage.
