Data Automation Internship (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for motivated Data Automation Interns to join our team remotely for a 3-month internship. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in automating data-related tasks, improving workflows, and working with data processing tools. The selected interns will gain practical experience in building automation scripts, handling datasets, and improving the efficiency and accuracy of recurring data operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in automating recurring data collection, cleaning, processing, and reporting tasks.
• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using Python.
• Work with structured datasets, spreadsheets, and databases to organize and process information.
• Use SQL to retrieve, filter, and manipulate data from databases.
• Assist in integrating data from different sources using APIs and other available tools.
• Identify repetitive manual processes and suggest opportunities for automation.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support the development of automated reports and dashboards.
• Document automation workflows, scripts, and technical processes.
• Collaborate with team members to improve existing data workflows.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Python programming and scripting.
• Understanding of SQL and database fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic understanding of data cleaning, data processing, and data validation.
• Interest in workflow automation and process improvement.
• Familiarity with APIs, JSON, or automation tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
