The Corporate Responsibility Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and sustainability initiatives. The role ensures that the organization's business practices align with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations while creating positive social, environmental, and economic impact. The Corporate Responsibility Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the organization's reputation, sustainability performance, and long-term value.

  • Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the organization's corporate responsibility, CSR, and sustainability strategy aligned with business objectives.

Design, manage, and evaluate community investment and social impact programs.

Lead ESG initiatives and support the integration of sustainability into business operations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, partners, and other stakeholders.

Monitor emerging sustainability trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.

Develop sustainability policies, frameworks, and performance indicators.

Prepare annual CSR, ESG, and sustainability reports in accordance with recognized reporting standards.

Coordinate employee volunteering and corporate giving initiatives.

Oversee environmental and social impact assessments for corporate projects.

Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, social, governance, and ethical standards.

Work closely with communications and public relations teams to promote CSR achievements and stakeholder engagement.

Monitor program budgets, evaluate project outcomes, and recommend continuous improvements.

Represent the organization at sustainability forums, conferences, and stakeholder engagement events.

  • Qualifications

Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business Administration, Corporate Governance, Public Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Professional certification in Sustainability, ESG, CSR, Environmental Management, or Project Management is an added advantage.

  • Experience
  • Minimum of
  • 7–12 years

of progressive experience in corporate responsibility, sustainability, ESG, community development, corporate affairs, or stakeholder engagement.

Demonstrated experience leading CSR or sustainability programs within a corporate, government, NGO, or multinational environment.

  • Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of CSR, ESG, sustainability, and corporate governance principles.

Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, ISSB, or similar).

Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

Strong project and program management capabilities.

Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Budget planning and financial management skills.

Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and collaboration abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sustainability reporting tools.
