Australia for UNHCR (A4U) and Aotearoa New Zealand for UNHCR (NZ4U) are UNHCR’s national partners in Australia and New Zealand, raising funds and awareness to assist people forced to flee conflict, disaster or persecution. - An experienced and detail-oriented content creator who can work both independently and collaboratively with and provide communications for a wide range of stakeholders.
- A passionate and creative individual who approaches work with initiative, drive and internal motivation to produce engaging, impactful, accurate and timely content in support of Australia for UNHCR’s objectives and activities.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
- Sourcing, gathering and developing content to support communication and fundraising objectives
- Creating content for different types of donors (such as corporate and high net worth individuals) and platforms, including digital, print and presentations
- Ensuring content fits style, brand and tone guidelines, is up-to-date and accurate
- Creating fundraising mail packs, emails and other assets
- Contributing to the production of in-house publications and writing and updating content for the website
- Building and sending the digital supporter magazine using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Editing and refining content to ensure it is accurate, concise and aligned to content and stakeholder goals
- Using approved artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools, such as Copilot and Canva AI, to support content research, development and production workflows and quality assurance
- Working collaboratively across the organisation to develop creative concepts and content, and identifying ways to engage existing donors and new audiences with a variety of content and platforms
- Staying abreast of communication trends and activities and identifying new opportunities to tell captivating stories
WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- At least five years’ experience in a relevant role - e.g. in-house or agency content production
- High level copywriting and editing skills
- Ability to meet short deadlines in emergency situations
- Detail-oriented, with strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and agile with the ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
- Previous experience in writing fundraising copy for digital and print
