- OVERVIEW
Civil Society Education Coalition (CSEC) is an alliance of 84 independent and voluntary organisations, including NGOs, community-based organisations, trade unions, and faith-based organisations working to promote quality education in Malawi.
CSEC is seeking a qualified producer, artist, or entertainment company to produce a Chichewa theme song promoting gender and inclusive education in Malawi.
The song will serve as an advocacy tool to raise awareness among communities, learners, and stakeholders on the importance of equal access to quality education, particularly for girls, children with disabilities, and other marginalised groups.
- SCOPE OF WORK
The consultant will be responsible for:
Reviewing relevant documents related to Gender and Inclusive Education in Malawi.
Developing creative concepts and lyrics based on gender and inclusive education themes.
Composing, arranging, and recording a culturally appropriate and engaging theme song.
Producing a final high-quality audio song suitable for radio broadcasting.
Incorporating feedback from CSEC during draft stages before final production.
Performing the song during awareness campaigns in project districts.
- DELIVERABLES
The successful consultant will provide:
An inception report outlining the methodology, creative approach, and proposed concepts/lyrics.
Draft versions of the song for review and feedback.
Final mastered Chichewa audio files of the theme song.

- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should possess:
A minimum of a Diploma in Music Production, Performing Arts, Communications, or a related field.
A Degree will be an added advantage.
Proven experience in composing and producing professional theme songs, advocacy jingles, or related productions.
Samples of previous work must be submitted.
Strong understanding of gender, inclusion, and education issues in Malawi.
Ability to produce high-quality and culturally relevant music that appeals to diverse audiences.
