- OVERVIEW
Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) is a Malawian non-governmental healthcare organisation established in 1987. As a senior member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Partnership, BLM provides quality family planning, reproductive healthcare, HIV/AIDS interventions, and sexual and reproductive health services across Malawi through 23 clinics and numerous outreach sites.
BLM is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Clinician Outreach.

- HSS and Outreach Coordinator
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clinical Service Delivery
Provide counselling and advice on family planning, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, and other sexual and reproductive health services.
Perform surgical procedures including Bilateral Tubal Ligations (BTLs), implant insertion and removal, and IUD insertion and removal.
Deliver safe, high-quality clinical services at outreach sites.
- Client Care
Provide consistent, reliable, courteous, and client-centred healthcare services.
Use MSI's "Vocal Local" communication technique to help clients feel comfortable during procedures.
- Clinical Records
Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports as required.
Ensure proper safeguarding of patient information.
- Marketing and Business Development
Support outreach promotional activities and partner events.
Assist in improving client satisfaction and expanding service utilisation.
- Stock and Clinical Quality Management
Support stock forecasting, storage, and monthly stock reporting.
Ensure adherence to clinical quality standards.
Report and follow up on clinical incidents.
- Requirements
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should possess:
Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
Current registration with the Medical Council of Malawi.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in modern family planning practices and procedures.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Basic computer literacy.
Strong knowledge of family planning services and reproductive health.
Knowledge of emergency drugs and obstetrics and gynaecology.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Innovative, accountable, committed, and client-focused.
Supportive of BLM's pro-choice values.
