• Background

The Malawi Enterprise Development Fund Limited (MEDF) is a government-owned microfinance institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawians, particularly women, youth, and persons with disabilities, through the provision of quality, affordable, and sustainable microfinance services.

• Reporting to: Finance Manager (MF3)
• Job Purpose
• Perform reconciliation of bank accounts,
• loans
• , and general ledger balances
• Investigating and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare reconciliation reports
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls
• Support audits and provide required documentation
• Supervise finance staff handling reconciliations
• Support preparation of financial statements and reports
• Recommend improvements in reconciliation systems and procedures
• Description

To ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of financial records, maintain data integrity, and support effective financial reporting

• Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance obtained from an NCHE accredited institution
• Master’s degree in accounting or finance obtained from an NCHE accredited institution
• ACCA or CIMA partly qualified will be an added advantage
• Experience
• Three (3) years of work experience in financial reconciliation
