Chartered Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records.
• Manage the company’s general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Prepare and file tax returns, VAT, PAYE, and other statutory remittances.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend cost-control and efficiency improvement measures.
• Ensure proper documentation and safeguarding of financial records.
• Advise management on financial planning, risk management, and investment decisions.
• Maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ICAN certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial reporting standards, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
