Key Requirements
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a vehicle repairs and maintenance environment.
· Strong hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
· Good understanding of motor vehicle operations and fleet maintenance management.
· Experience working with heavy mobile equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, drilling machines, tippers, and other quarry or construction equipment will be an added advantage.
· Ability to lead and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians.
· Good planning, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
· Computer literacy and the ability to prepare maintenance reports.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise all repairs and preventive maintenance activities for the Company's fleet and equipment.
· Ensure timely servicing and repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
· Plan and monitor maintenance schedules.
· Manage workshop personnel and maintenance records.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
· Coordinate spare parts requirements with Procurement and Stores.
· Monitor maintenance costs and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
