Duties and responsibilities
The Assistant Curator II (Ethnology) will be responsible for supporting museum collection, exhibition, research, and public education activities. Key duties include:
- Assisting in the collection and acquisition of museum collections.
- Assisting in storing and conserving museum collections.
- Assisting in evaluating and reporting the status of museum collections.
- Participating in the preparation of displays and publicizing collections.
- Participating in the preparation of public education kits in the area of specialization.
- Executing the installation of exhibitions.
- Preparing and distributing publicity materials, exhibition catalogues, and displays.
- Preparing exhibition plans and reports.
- Liaising with stakeholders and organizations.
- Collecting and evaluating data in the field of exhibition operations.
- Coordinating simple research and technical experiments for exhibitions.
- Preparing new designs and models for temporary, special, and permanent exhibitions, performances, and programs.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must be holders of a Diploma in Heritage Management from a recognized institution.
