AI Business Process Engineer

N2P Systems is seeking an experienced AI Business Process Engineer to join our enterprise technology delivery team. At N2P Systems, you will put 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Business Process Engineering, Operations Strategy and Clinical Transformation to work on mission-critical enterprise systems. This is an existing contract, fully remote vacancy with N2P Systems.

N2P Systems is seeking an AI Business Process Engineer to connect AI development initiatives with practical clinical and business operations. This position focuses on transforming existing workflows, preparing organizations for AI adoption, and ensuring that AI capabilities are integrated effectively into human-driven processes.

You will work alongside AI Product Managers and Delivery Engineers to assess operational inefficiencies, develop future-state workflows incorporating Human-in-the-Loop processes, and help ensure AI implementations deliver measurable business value and sustainable adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed discovery sessions with clinical professionals, operations leaders, and administrative teams to document existing workflows.

• Analyze operational processes to uncover bottlenecks, duplicated efforts, and activities that do not contribute meaningful value.

• Develop user journey maps that capture decision points, data entry needs, and operational challenges.

• Design optimized future-state workflows that incorporate AI capabilities and clearly establish how employees interact with AI-generated outputs.

• Establish Human-in-the-Loop procedures covering exception management, review queues, and validation of AI-generated information, including clinical notes and risk predictions.

• Develop standard operating procedures that connect AI-generated recommendations and predictions with human decision-making processes.

• Bridge communication between Engineering, Data Science, and business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions address actual operational requirements.

• Establish performance measures that evaluate workflow efficiency, adoption rates, and reductions in administrative workload beyond model accuracy.

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with an emphasis on operational and process validation.

• Ensure implemented solutions integrate effectively into everyday end-user workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in Business Process Engineering, Operations Strategy, or Clinical Transformation.

• Expert-level proficiency in process mapping tools and methodologies, including Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN standards.

• Demonstrated understanding of how AI/ML implementations affect business operations.

• Ability to distinguish technical software capabilities from practical human workflow and operational requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience in healthcare environments, including providers, payers, or health technology organizations.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record and electronic health record workflows.

• Exposure to Epic or Cerner platforms.

• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or Agile methodologies.

• Experience designing Human-in-the-Loop workflows and operational procedures for AI-generated outputs.

• Familiarity with User Acceptance Testing and organizational change management.
