Senior Data Engineer

N2P Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our enterprise technology delivery team. At N2P Systems, you will put 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Google Cloud Platform and Google Cloud Dataflow to work on mission-critical enterprise systems. This is an existing full-time, fully remote vacancy with N2P Systems.

N2P Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to architect and deliver scalable enterprise data platforms using Google Cloud Platform. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Java-based Google Cloud Dataflow development with Apache Beam, focusing on high-performance batch and streaming data processing.

You will contribute to modern data architecture initiatives, implement Medallion Architecture, and develop reliable enterprise ETL/ELT solutions. The position involves building efficient data processing frameworks, optimizing analytical workloads, and maintaining secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow, Java, and Apache Beam.

• Build reusable and high-performance data processing frameworks using Java.

• Develop enterprise-level ETL/ELT pipelines within Google Cloud Platform.

• Implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers through Medallion Architecture for modern data lake solutions.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize analytical datasets in BigQuery.

• Write advanced SQL queries and improve query performance when processing large datasets.

• Orchestrate data workflows using Cloud Composer and Apache Airflow.

• Manage data storage and lifecycle operations using Google Cloud Storage.

• Implement CI/CD workflows using Git and modern DevOps practices.

• Apply GCP IAM principles to maintain cloud security and governance.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Dataflow workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong professional programming experience with Java.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.

• Demonstrated production experience developing Java-based Google Cloud Dataflow pipelines using Apache Beam.

• Practical experience with the Apache Beam SDK.

• Strong expertise in BigQuery and advanced SQL query optimization.

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Hands-on experience implementing Medallion Architecture.

• Experience working with Google Cloud Storage and Cloud Composer.

• Working knowledge of Apache Airflow, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.

• Strong understanding of GCP IAM, cloud security, and governance practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing high-performance batch and streaming data processing solutions.

• Expertise in enterprise data architecture and modern data lake implementations.

• Experience optimizing large-scale Dataflow workloads for processing efficiency and cost management.

• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and scalable cloud data engineering frameworks.
