We are recruiting!
Our client in Maputo is looking for a Crawler Crane Operator to join their team within the Mining Sector.
- Responsibilities
Operate crawler cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials as directed by site plans or supervisors.
Conduct thorough pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections, documenting any issues and assisting in routine maintenance.
Interpret load charts, boom angles, and other specifications to determine safe lifting capabilities.
Coordinate closely with riggers, signalers, and other team members to ensure clear communication and smooth operations.
Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety standards, maintaining a safe work environment.
Assist in training and mentoring entry-level operators on safe and efficient crane operation.
Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, performing basic troubleshooting and coordinating with maintenance as necessary.
- Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
NCCCO certification (or equivalent) for crawler cranes.
3-5 years of experience operating crawler cranes or similar heavy equipment.
Solid understanding of load charts, crane mechanics, and safety standards.
Physical stamina and strength for demanding tasks in outdoor environments.
Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective coordination with site personnel.
