What is recruitment software?
An ATS, or recruitment software, is where a company keeps track of everyone who wants to work there: who applied to each vacancy, what stage each person is at and what was discussed with each of them. It replaces the mix of emails, spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads most small companies run their hiring on, and its main job is to make sure the information is still there months later, and after the person doing the recruiting changes.
In Trinidad and Tobago, Saplic is free recruitment software: it asks for no credit card, installs nothing, lets you post up to 10 active vacancies for free and adds your team’s users with per-screen permissions. It is available in 59 countries.
What recruitment software is
An ATS, or recruitment software, is where you keep everyone who wants to work with you in order: who applied, what stage each person is at, and what was discussed with each of them.
In practice it replaces having candidates scattered across WhatsApp, email and a notebook. Thousands of companies in Trinidad and Tobago hire that way, and the cost is not the mess: it is the good person lost between two conversations.
Where your candidates come from
You do not need to post on Saplic to use it. If your candidates in Trinidad and Tobago reach you some other way, they still go in: the board is yours, not the job board's.
They send the resume by chat and you upload it to the process.
You posted in a group and the messages piled up.
You reached out to someone and want to track them.
Resumes by email
The same inbox, with the same attachments.
Referrals and paper
Someone on the team vouched for them, or they dropped off a resume.
Internal processes
People already working with you applying for another role.
You upload the resume wherever it came from, and it all lands on the same board.
The board: what stage each candidate is at
One column per stage and one card per person. You move the card and the process advances; at a glance you know how many people are at each point.
Swipe to see the other stages.
No more “have we already spoken to this person?”
Every candidate has their own timeline. Here is what a real one looks like:
- Grace called on Tuesday No answer.
- Grace called on Thursday Booked an interview for Monday at 10:00 AM.
- Daniel ran the interview Note: good attitude, no forklift experience yet.
- Moved to Trial by Daniel Three days in this stage so far.
- Rejected by Grace Reason: accepted another offer.
Every call, interview, note and stage change is saved with the date and who did it.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work if my candidates reach me on WhatsApp?
Yes. Saplic lets you add by hand a candidate who messaged you on WhatsApp, handed you a printed CV or came through a referral, and that candidate lands on the same board as the ones who applied through the job listing. In Saplic no source counts more than another: the record is the same.
Can I use it only for an internal process at my company?
Yes. Saplic lets you open a role that never reaches the public job board: the role exists only inside your account, with its own board and its own candidates, and nobody outside sees it. It is what you use for a confidential search, or for one you plan to fill through referrals.
Do I need to install anything?
Nothing needs to be installed. Saplic runs in the browser in Trinidad and Tobago, with no program to download, no server of your own and nobody from IT involved. Creating the company account takes under two minutes and asks for no credit card.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The candidate board, each candidate record and the interview calendar in Saplic all work from a phone in Trinidad and Tobago, in the browser and with no app to install. It is the same system as on a computer, not a cut-down version.
Are my data and the resumes private?
The candidates you add and the CVs you upload belong to your company. In Saplic they are kept in private storage, linked only to your account: they do not appear on the public job board in Trinidad and Tobago and no other company can see them.
Can I give my team access?
Yes. Saplic lets each person on your team sign in with their own account and see only the modules you assigned them, and everything they do is recorded with their name and the date. Each recruiter sees the processes where they are listed as owner; the account owner and administrator users see everything.
Is it worth it if I only hire one or two people a year?
Yes, and that is where it shows most. Saplic is free in Trinidad and Tobago and charges nothing per vacancy, so a company that hires two or three times a year pays nothing for the months it is not looking for anyone. That is exactly the case where nothing gets written down, with months between one search and the next: the candidate who came second eight months ago is still in the database, with their CV and your notes.
Everything it includes
The ATS is free and comes with all of this, also free and also available in Trinidad and Tobago.
Candidate assessments
More than 30 ready-made tests of aptitude, knowledge and profile, at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, plus the ones you build with your own questions. Send them through a link: the result lands on the candidate’s profile by itself and downloads as a PDF.

How does it work? And also, at no extra cost
Your team, each with their own login
Each person signs in with their own account and sees only the modules you assigned them. And everything they do is logged under their name.
Rejection reasons, and a way back
You define your own reasons instead of a fixed list. And a rejected candidate can be brought back later: the good candidate for one role is the one for the next.
The full history of every candidate
Every call, interview, note and stage change is kept with its date and who did it. Six months later it is still there.
Applications go straight into the ATS
If the vacancy has its role in the ATS, every application lands on the board by itself; if not, you move it over in one click from the applicant list. From there you can send an assessment or schedule the interview.
Interview self-scheduling
You offer days and time slots, and the candidate picks a time from a link, with no account. The interview goes into your calendar, and they can change or cancel it from the same link up to 2 hours before.
Automations
An interview reminder to the candidate the day before, a weekly summary of stalled candidates and closing the public job post when the role is filled. They come switched off and you turn them on one by one.

How much does the Saplic ATS cost?
The Saplic ATS is free in Trinidad and Tobago. It asks for no credit card and has no trial that expires: you post up to 10 active vacancies for free — closing one frees up its slot —, with no cap on candidates, and you add your team’s users with per-screen permissions. It is available in 59 countries and runs in the browser, with nothing to install.
How is it different from a paid ATS?
Saplic covers the whole selection process — a stage board, a CV bank, bulk CV upload, an interview calendar with self-scheduling, more than 30 ready-made tests plus your own, a career site, integrations, a CRM and users with permissions — and charges for none of it. What it does not do: it does not post for you on LinkedIn or on paid job boards, it does not OCR scanned CVs and the ATS does not include payroll (payroll is a separate module, for El Salvador only). If your process depends on any of those, a paid ATS will serve you better.
