Candidate assessments, free, for companies in Singapore

Send a test to any candidate through a link — whether they messaged you, handed you a printed resume or came through a referral. They take it on their phone, with no account and nothing to install and the result appears in their profile on its own.

What you know about a candidate before hiring them

Most hiring decisions are made on what the resume says and the impression left by a twenty-minute interview.

For many roles that is enough. But when the job calls for calculating without slipping, checking without missing anything or handling an angry customer, a conversation does not show it: the task does. A short, well-aimed test does not replace the interview — it adds what the interview cannot see.

Where the candidate comes from and where their result lands

It does not matter how they reached you. If you have their contact, you can assess them.

How to send an assessment to a candidate, in three steps

1

Pick the test and the candidate

Open the candidate's profile and choose one or more tests from the catalog.

2

Send them the link

Saplic generates a single-use link. Copy it or send it by email right there.

3

See the result in their profile

When they finish, the score and the breakdown by competency sit in their profile, next to the rest of the process.

What you can measure with Saplic assessments

More than 30 ready-made tests — aptitude, knowledge and profile — at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, and the option to build your own.

Logical reasoning

Series, patterns and deduction. For roles where new situations have to be solved without a manual.

Numerical reasoning

Percentages, ratios and applied arithmetic. For cash handling, stock, invoicing and sales.

Verbal reasoning

Understanding texts and written instructions. For administrative and front-desk roles.

Attention to detail

Spotting differences, errors and figures that do not add up. For quality control and document work.

Customer service

Real service situations and how a complaint is handled.

Job knowledge

Technical tests by field, such as accounting, to check what the CV says the person knows.

Personality and integrity

Big Five (IPIP-50) or its short Mini-IPIP version, and an Integrity test (honesty-humility). For guidance: they describe tendencies, they do not diagnose.

Career interests

RIASEC: what kind of work interests the person, across six areas, with their Holland code. Also for guidance.

Or build your own

Write your own single-choice, multiple-choice or true/false questions, mark the correct answer and save them to reuse.

The ready-made tests come at basic, intermediate and advanced levels. The ones you create stay in your account only.

What makes the assessment link different

It is the piece that lets you assess someone who has never used Saplic.

saplic.com/…/7FH82K…

Opens on a phone, nothing to install

No account to create and no app to download. They tap the link and start.

If their connection drops, it picks up where they left off

Every answer saves as it is given. They can close the page and come back later without losing anything.

Single use, with a deadline and a time limit

Once finished, the link stops working. The clock runs on the server, not in the browser.

Works for candidates who have never used Saplic

The person needs no account and no profile. You are the one who sees the result inside your ATS.

What happens when the candidate finishes

The result does not just sit on a screen: you get notified, you can download it and compare it.

Email notification

As soon as the candidate finishes, you and whoever sent the invitation get an email. No need to keep checking.

Result as a PDF

Download it from the profile or the report, with Pass or Fail, the breakdown by skill and your notes, to share with whoever decides.

Assessment report

The funnel of sent, started and finished assessments, the score distribution and how it changes over time.

Straight from your job’s applicants

In a vacancy’s applicant list, each person’s menu lets you send them an assessment, move them to an ATS role or schedule an interview.

What these assessments are not

They do not diagnose anything. Aptitude and knowledge tests measure performance on a specific task; profile tests describe tendencies and interests, they do not say who a person is.

The profile tests (Big Five / Mini-IPIP, Integrity and RIASEC) are for guidance: they are not a clinical assessment and do not replace a professional. All of them support the selection process.

They are one more input, read alongside the interview, the experience and the references. Never a verdict on their own.

Frequently asked questions about candidate assessments

Does the candidate need a Saplic account?

No. The assessment opens from a single-use link and asks for no sign-up and no password. The person opens it, accepts the privacy notice and answers. This also holds for candidates who have never used Saplic and may never do so.

Can they cheat?

As with any remote test, it cannot be ruled out entirely. What Saplic does is leave a record: the clock runs on the server rather than the browser, the link works only once, and if the connection or the device changes partway through it is noted on the result. That is why the score is read alongside the interview, not instead of it.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, and it was designed for it: most candidates take it on their phone. Questions appear one at a time with large buttons, and if the connection drops the answers already saved are not lost.

Can I write my own questions?

Yes. Beyond the ready-made tests, you can build your own with single-choice, multiple-choice or true/false questions, mark the correct answer and give each one a score. They are saved so you can reuse them whenever you want.

Does the candidate see their score?

Only if you decide so. When you generate the link you choose whether the result is shown to them at the end. If you leave it off, the person sees a thank-you screen and the score stays on your side only.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Candidate assessments are included in the free Saplic account in Singapore, with no cap on assessments sent and no cost per candidate assessed.
