What is bulk CV upload?
Bulk CV upload is the process of sending many CVs to a recruitment system at once, instead of creating one record per person by hand. The system reads each file, extracts the contact details and creates the records; the recruiter's job becomes reviewing what was extracted rather than typing it in.
Nothing is saved until you confirm it
Everything Saplic extracts can be edited in the review table before saving. Every field is editable and any row can be unticked, and that is what the name is there for: in a CV it can sit inside a logo, in a header or in an image. Nothing is written to the database until you press Save.
With a role open, it also adds them to the process
If you start the upload from a role, on top of creating the records it puts each candidate into that role, at the first stage of the board. If you start without a role, only the records are created and they sit in the CV bank.

Frequently asked questions
How many CVs can I upload at once in Saplic?
Saplic allows uploading up to 20 CVs in PDF per batch, of up to 8 MB each, and automatically extracts the name, email and phone from every file. There is no limit on the number of batches.
What happens if a CV is not read properly?
It still shows up in the review table, with any field Saplic could not pull left blank. You type the name, email and phone right there and save. Saplic writes nothing to the database until you press Save, so no record is ever created half-filled.
What does Saplic extract from a CV in PDF?
Saplic extracts three fields from each PDF: the name, the email address and the phone number. It does not extract work history, education or skills. Whatever it cannot extract is left empty rather than guessed, and is filled in on the review table.
What happens if Saplic extracts a field incorrectly?
You correct it before saving. Saplic shows everything it extracted in a review table where each field is editable and each row can be unticked, and it writes nothing to the database until Save is pressed.
Do the candidates I upload get attached to a vacancy?
It depends where you start from. If you begin the upload from a role, Saplic creates the records and also puts each candidate into that role, at the first stage. If you begin without a role, only the records are created and they sit in the company CV bank.
Does bulk CV upload cost anything?
