Job Description
REPORTING TO: Warehouse Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION & SUMMARY As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for the optimal utilization of resources, promoting teamwork and a positive work culture, building strong customer relationships, assessing risks, inventory management, and maintaining best warehouse practices.
Detailed Key Responsibilities ● Oversee daily warehouse operations, including timely and accurate receiving, order processing, dispatch, proof of delivery returns, and overall inventory management. ● Ensure the team adheres to the set-out warehouse standard operating procedures. ● Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. ● Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. ● Identify potential risks within the warehouse and last-mile delivery operations, develop mitigation strategies, and improve processes. ● Ensure warehouse compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards. ● Implement process improvements to enhance output and operational efficiency. ● Ensure optimal use of technology and data analytics to streamline operations. ● Monitor warehouse expenditures and implement cost-saving measures. ● Monitor and evaluate customer deliveries, develop strategies to reduce expenses, optimize truck utilization, and improve maintenance. ● Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner. ● Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and productivity. ● Ensure daily cycle counts and monthly reports are shared on time and resolve arising variances. ● Be fully responsible for safety at the various workstations with zero Lost Time Accidents (LTA). ● Maintain an up-to-date POD report and ensure proof of deliveries are returned within the provided TAT. ● Plan and assign tasks to warehouse staff, keeping track of their performance and efficiency. ● Liaise with clients to set up monthly and quarterly stock takes. ● Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports as required by management and customers. ● Engage actively in sustainability programs while leading the warehouse department in achieving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. ● Listen to colleagues' ideas, recognize and motivate them when they fulfil their work, provide feedback on staff performance, and offer support when required by the team. ● Participate actively in the induction process to ensure new employees feel welcome and valued, setting the foundation for them to become productive and positive contributors. ● Develop innovative ideas to enhance the organization's image and improve the overall working environment. ● Foster a commercial culture by identifying and actively developing new and existing revenue streams while implementing cost-cutting measures. ● Perform other duties as required or directed.
Requirements ● Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field. ● Minimum of 3 years & progressive experience in warehouse and logistics management. ● Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation planning. ● Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). ● Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
