WAITER / WAITRESS REQUIREMENTS

Employment Type: Part-time

Contract Type: Fixed-term temporary contract, with the possibility of permanent employment.

Minimum Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A friendly, warm and welcoming personality.
• Professional conduct and a positive attitude towards clients and colleagues.
• Good personal hygiene and a neat, presentable appearance.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to listen carefully, follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Good teamwork, time-management and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn menu knowledge, service procedures and workplace standards.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling orders, bills and payments where required.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to handle customer complaints politely and refer serious issues to the supervisor.
• Respect for client privacy and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work the agreed part-time shifts, including weekends or public holidays when required and agreed.

Experience

• Previous experience as a waiter, waitress, restaurant server or hospitality assistant will be an advantage.
• Candidates without formal experience may apply if they demonstrate the right attitude, willingness to learn and strong customer-service potential.

• Follow all instructions from the supervisor or designated manager.
• Handle company property, client belongings and payments responsibly.
• Maintain professional boundaries and treat every client with respect.
