Make a difference, one meal at a time!
Are you a warm, organised and people-focused professional looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity?
We are partnering with The Village Chef, a wonderful organisation dedicated to supporting older Australians through nutritious meals, genuine care and connection. We are looking for a Service Coordinator to join their small, friendly and supportive team for a 12-month maternity leave contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to combine meaningful work with flexibility, while making a genuine difference in the lives of older people within their community.
About the opportunity
The Service Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring clients receive a high-quality, caring and reliable service.
You will coordinate day-to-day service delivery, respond to client enquiries, organise volunteer rosters and work closely with the team to ensure meals are delivered smoothly and with care.
You’ll also have the opportunity to build positive relationships with clients and volunteers, contribute ideas, solve problems and help create an experience that reflects the organisation’s values of kindness, care and support.
About you
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and wants their work to have a positive impact.
You will ideally be:
- Warm, empathetic and personable, with a genuine interest in supporting others
- Highly organised, with strong time-management and attention-to-detail skills
- Confident working autonomously and taking initiative
- Equally comfortable working collaboratively as part of a small team
- A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with clients, volunteers and colleagues
- Solution-focused, reliable and adaptable
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Experienced in customer service, administration, healthcare, aged care, food services or the not-for-profit sector
- Confident using technology, Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
Why consider this opportunity?
This is more than an administration or coordination role. It is an opportunity to be part of a small, friendly team where your contribution is visible and valued, while doing work that genuinely benefits older Australians.
You'll enjoy:
- Part-time hours of approximately 6.5 hours per day
- An attractive hourly rate
- A supportive and collaborative team environment
- Meaningful work with a strong community impact
- The opportunity to build relationships with clients and volunteers
- A role that offers variety, autonomy and purpose
If you're looking for a role where you can bring your organisational skills, your heart and your people skills to work every day, we'd love to hear from you.
