About the role
The Video Editor will produce professional-quality videos for One Acre Fund’s training programs, marketing, fundraising, and brand campaigns. The work will focus on creating content that supports impact for farmers, particularly youth and women.
This role requires a strong combination of:

The successful candidate will capture farmer stories that clearly demonstrate the impact of One Acre Fund’s work on individuals, families, and future generations.
Responsibilities
Professional-quality, on-brand storytelling film production
The Video Editor will be responsible for producing engaging and emotive video content that aligns with One Acre Fund’s brand and storytelling standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Capturing high-quality, engaging, and emotive video and audio using DSLR and phone cameras
- Coordinating and directing video shoots across all countries of operation
- Working closely with local teams to plan and execute video production activities
Professional-quality, on-brand storytelling video editing
The role requires strong editing skills to transform raw footage into compelling videos that serve multiple organizational needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building storyboards and scripts to match a brief after a shoot
- Subtitling videos in seven or more different languages
- Re-cutting videos to serve multiple purposes
- Creating on-brand, bespoke motion graphics
Professional interviewing and storytelling
The Video Editor will identify and develop strong stories from the field and lead interviews that support powerful story arcs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing, identifying, and developing strong stories in the field based on a brief
- Leading interviews that elicit engaging, unique, and emotive answers
- Guiding interviews in a way that moves story arcs forward
- Reading farmer reports and identifying possible story arcs
- Developing interviews that help craft those story arcs into compelling stories
Video systems ownership
The role also involves managing key video systems and supporting the smooth coordination of video production work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Occasionally managing freelancers
- Hosting donor-selected video crews during shoots
- Managing and organizing One Acre Fund’s video archive and footage storage
- Developing and owning One Acre Fund’s video shot schedule
- Ensuring stakeholders know what video work is upcoming

Qualifications

- Ability to use professional-grade DSLR and audio equipment
- Deep knowledge of editing in Adobe Premiere Pro
