Job Description
We are looking for professionals who demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, accountability, good communication and commitment to quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe nursing care before, during and after surgical procedures.
Prepare patients and ensure pre-operative documentation is complete.
Prepare theatre, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
Perform circulating and other assigned theatre nursing duties.
Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection prevention standards.
Assist with patient positioning, surgical counts and specimen handling.
Monitor patients and promptly report concerns to the clinical team.
Maintain accurate theatre and patient documentation.
Assist with post-operative transfer and handover.
Monitor theatre supplies and equipment and report shortages or faults.
Support emergency surgical procedures when required.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
Valid professional registration and practising licence.
Previous theatre/perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of surgical safety and infection prevention.
Strong clinical, communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and on shifts.
High level of professionalism, discipline and commitment to patient safety.
