Job Description
We are looking for professionals who demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, accountability, good communication and commitment to quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform laboratory tests accurately and according to approved procedures.
Receive, label, process and handle patient specimens correctly.
Ensure accurate recording, analysis and reporting of laboratory results.
Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents and supplies.
Perform quality control procedures and maintain laboratory standards.
Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality of patient results.
Maintain cleanliness, safety and infection prevention standards in the laboratory.
Work closely with clinicians and other departments to support timely patient diagnosis and care.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages, equipment faults and other laboratory needs.
Comply with professional, regulatory and hospital requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Technology from a recognised institution.
Valid professional registration and practising licence.
Hospital laboratory experience is an added advantage.
Good technical, analytical and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
