Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the fixed term vacancies below.

SENIOR RADIO ACCESS NETWORK ENGINEER

Responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, optimising and maintaining Powertel’s LTE and 5G Radio Access Network.

Duties and Responsibilities

* RAN Planning and Design* Deployment and Integration* Network Performance and Optimisation* Fault and Maintenance Management

Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications/Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline.* Valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence.* At least four years’ experience in LTE/5G RAN planning, deployment, optimisation or operations.* Practical experience with RF planning, base station integration, optimisation and transmission connectivity.* Experience with ZTE LTE/5G RAN or equivalent platform is an added advantage.

Key Competencies

* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.* Sound understanding of LTE and 5G radio principles.* Ability to conduct RF planning, site surveys and performance analysis.* Ability to work independently.* Good documentation and communication skills.
