• Responsibilities

a) Design and develop comprehensive health promotion and education programmes.

b) Implement initiatives that address key health issues affecting students throughout the academic year.

c) Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to integrate health education into university activities.

d) Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure the effectiveness of health promotion initiatives.

e) Utilize various media and communication channels to disseminate health information.

f) Evaluate the impact of health campaigns and make improvements as needed.

g) Train peer educators and student leaders to promote health education.

h) Engage students in health promotion activities and events.

i) Plan and conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on health related topics.

j) Develop educational materials and resources for students.

k) Provide individual and group consultations on health and wellness topics.

• Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or relevant field is required.

A Master’s degree in a relevant area will be an added advantage.

Work Experience: A minimum of six (4) years’ experience, three (3) of which should have been at the officer level. Higher education experience will be an added advantage.

Professional registration: Registration and being in good standing (or registrable) with a recognised professional body is preferred.

b) Strong organizational and project management skills.

c) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

d) Experience with research and program evaluation.
