We’re seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead the organisation’s people strategy and help shape the future of its workforce.

This is an opportunity to combine senior HR expertise with purpose. You’ll work closely with leaders across the organisation, strengthening leadership capability, workplace culture, employee experience and contemporary people practices.

About the role

This is a newly created senior HR role reporting to the Corporate Services Manager and leading the Human Resources Officer.

You’ll be a trusted partner to leaders across the organisation, providing strategic and operational HR support while helping managers build the confidence and capability to lead their people effectively.

The role will see you:

  • Provide expert HR, employee relations and industrial relations advice
  • Lead complex performance, conduct, grievance and workplace investigation matters
  • Coach and support leaders to confidently manage people and workplace issues
  • Lead workforce planning and organisational development initiatives
  • Develop and strengthen HR policies, systems and governance
  • Support Enterprise Agreement negotiations and industrial relations matters
  • Lead performance review and remuneration review processes
  • Develop initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, wellbeing and workplace culture
  • Mentor and develop the Human Resources Officer
  • Contribute to broader organisational strategy and workforce priorities

About you

You’re an experienced HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships with leaders and using your expertise to create practical, positive outcomes for people and organisations.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience in a Senior HR Business Partner, Employee Relations or senior generalist HR role
  • Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations and workplace investigation matters
  • Experience coaching leaders and building management capability
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to think strategically while remaining comfortable with hands-on operational HR
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
  • Experience within healthcare, the not-for-profit sector or an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation will be highly regarded.
