Creck Hardware and General Supplies Limited invites applications on behalf of its sister company based in Blantyre for the position of Sales and Marketing Officer. The successful candidate will be based in Blantyre and will play a key role in driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and implementing effective marketing strategies that support the company's business objectives.
- Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Identifying and developing prospective customers to expand the company's customer base.
Conducting customer needs assessments and maintaining an up-to-date customer database.
Driving price implementation and participating in customer price negotiations.
Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to overall business growth.
Providing exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to increase sales.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Coordinating with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met and escalating issues where necessary.
Developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase product and brand visibility.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and recommending improvements.
Managing and coordinating social media marketing campaigns and advertisements.
Conducting market research, analysing market trends, and preparing monthly reports for Management.
Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, appointments, sales activities, and customer complaints.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective market penetration and customer satisfaction.
Preparing cost-benefit analyses for prospective and existing customers to determine suitable purchasing options.
Analysing competitors' products, pricing, market positioning, strengths, and weaknesses to identify business opportunities.
Preparing periodic sales and marketing reports for Management.
Representing the company professionally during client visits, exhibitions, and promotional events.
Performing any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
- Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum of Five (5) years' relevant work experience in sales and marketing.
Candidates with two (2) or more years of experience, particularly in a supervisory role, will have an added advantage.
Membership with a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.
