Duties and Responsibilities

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

* Assume overall responsibility for the management and operation of the institution in line with TESC policies, strategies and regulations.
* Manage the institution’s human, financial and material resources.
* Ensure implementation of good corporate governance.
* Drive innovation and industrialisation in line with the Heritage-Based Philosophy of Education 5.0.
* Lead curriculum development, review and evaluation to align with national goals.
* Oversee student enrolment and promote gender equality and equity.
* Monitor production of institutional timetables.
* Maintain high teaching and learning standards through effective supervision.
* Ensure compliance with the institution’s code of ethics and safeguard student welfare.
* Oversee administration of examinations.
* Present assessment profiles for certification.
* Monitor adherence to approved lecturer-student ratios.
* Coordinate implementation of institutional income-generating projects.
* Foster good public relations and staff morale.
* Perform any other duties assigned by TESC.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Required Attributes

* Bachelor’s Degree in Education Administration, Adult Education, Applied Education, Educational Management or equivalent.
* Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or equivalent.
* PhD is an added advantage.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience at Vice Principal level or equivalent.
* Thorough understanding of national education policies and priorities.
* Knowledge of the Manpower Planning and Development Act and Tertiary Education Service Regulations (SI 27 of 2025).
* Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good public relations.
* Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Highly computer literate.
