Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode).
• Perform fusion splicing on aerial, underground, and indoor fiber optic cables.
• Conduct OTDR, Optical Power Meter, and Visual Fault Locator (VFL) testing.
• Troubleshoot fiber optic faults and restore services within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Install and maintain fiber distribution panels (FDPs), optical distribution frames (ODFs), and joint closures.
• Install customer premises equipment (CPE), media converters, switches, routers, and wireless devices where applicable.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on network infrastructure.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with the Network Operations Centre (NOC) during planned maintenance and fault resolution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards while working in the field.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and inventory usage.
• Support network expansion projects and customer installations.
