- Responsibilities
Assist in project development – research, drafting concept notes and project proposals in line with donor and organizational requirements
Support stakeholder mapping and engagement – identify potential partners (incl. private sector) and maintain updated contact databases
- Contribute to resource mobilization – briefing notes, presentations, donor reports
- Assist monitoring and evaluation processes – data collection/analysis, progress reports
- Provide administrative support for project development meetings (agendas, minutes, action point follow-up)
- Support training and capacity-building initiatives – materials, logistics, documentation
- Draft advocacy and communication materials to raise awareness of IOM’s Botswana projects
Contribute to knowledge-sharing – maintain organized repository of project documents, templates and best practices

- Requirements
Education: Recent graduate or current student in International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Business Analytics, Economics, Data, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated interest or experience in research, policy analysis or project implementation related to climate change, migration or disaster risk reduction
- Experience in event coordination or stakeholder engagement is a plus
- Familiarity with research methodologies, data analysis and statistical tools (MS Word, Excel) advantageous
- Analytical and organizational skills; excellent written/verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Fluency in English (oral and written) required. Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.
