Freelance Visual Identity & Logo Designer

About the Initiative

We are an emerging community-based initiative in Rwanda dedicated to maternal health, adolescent pregnancy support, and perinatal mental health. Our programs focus on breaking stigma around postpartum depression (PPD), helping teenage mothers reintegrate into education and vocational training, and expanding access to healthcare services (such as Mutuelle de Santé).

We are seeking a creative and skilled Freelance Graphic Designer to design our official organization logo and establish our basic visual identity.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

1. Logo Design:

• Develop 2–3 creative concept proposals based on our core themes (maternal care, community solidarity, hope, and education).
• Deliver the selected logo in full-color, monochrome (black & white), and dark-background versions.

1. Social & Digital Assets:

• Create an icon/emblem avatar optimized for WhatsApp, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Instagram profile pictures.

1. Brand Elements:

• Define the color palette (HEX and RGB codes) and specify recommended primary/secondary fonts.

1. File Preparation:

• Provide final editable vector source files (.AI, .EPS, or .SVG) and high-resolution web files (.PNG with transparent background, .JPEG).

Requirements & Skills

• Demonstrated experience in graphic design and branding with a strong portfolio of logo projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, or similar design software.
• Excellent understanding of visual balance, color theory, and modern minimalist typography.
• Strong communication skills and ability to incorporate feedback across 1–2 revision rounds.
• Based in Rwanda or familiar with the local community context (preferred).

Contract & Compensation

• Job Type: Freelance / One-off Project
• Work Arrangement: 100% Remote
• Compensation: Fixed project fee of RWF[ 30,000-50,000] upon final delivery and file handover.
• Timeline: Concept draft within 3–5 days of contract award.
