Lingua Connect Solutions is a U.S.-based language services company providing professional interpretation and translation services to clients across the United States and internationally.

As we expand our network of language professionals, we are seeking qualified freelance interpreters across all languages to support current and future client assignments.

Position Overview

We are looking for professional interpreters who can provide accurate, confidential, and culturally appropriate interpretation services. Assignments may include Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI), depending on client needs, language demand, interpreter qualifications, and availability.

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Assignments are offered based on client demand and are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

- Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and your working language(s).

- Provide Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and/or Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

- Accurately convey the meaning, tone, and intent of all parties without additions or omissions.

- Maintain neutrality, professionalism, and confidentiality during assignments.

- Follow Lingua Connect Solutions' professional standards and client-specific requirements.

- Maintain reliable communication and respond to assignment opportunities in a timely manner.

- Use appropriate equipment and maintain a professional environment when providing remote interpretation services.

Qualifications

- Professional proficiency in English and at least one additional language.

- Strong listening, comprehension, and communication skills.

- Previous professional interpreting experience is preferred.

- Knowledge of interpreting ethics, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

- Ability to work independently as an independent contractor.

- Reliable internet connection, phone and/or computer, and a quiet professional environment for remote assignments.

- Interpretation training or professional certification is preferred but not required for all opportunities.

- Additional qualifications may be required for specialized assignments.

Languages

Applications are welcome from interpreters of all languages. Demand and assignment availability vary by language and client needs.

Contractor Relationship

This is a freelance independent contractor opportunity and does not constitute an offer of employment. Approved professionals may be added to the Lingua Connect Solutions professional network and considered for assignments based on language combination, qualifications, experience, availability, location when applicable, and client requirements.

Compensation and assignment details will be communicated for applicable opportunities.
