Fleet Mechanic- Electrical Reports To (Title of Line Manager): Fleet Management Officer Department Operations Job Level: Entry level
JOB PURPOSE The Mechanic shall ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Klan Logistics’ fleet by performing scheduled maintenance, diagnosing faults, and executing timely repairs. The Mechanic shall support workshop operations by minimizing vehicle downtime and upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety. The ideal candidate shall demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining both mechanical integrity and the polished appearance of all fleet vehicles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES KRA 1: Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and support vehicles. KRA 2: Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant. KRA 3: Identify electrical and mechanical faults and provide timely and effective solutions. KRA 4: Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance carried out. KRA 5: Collaborate with workshop staff and fleet managers to ensure uptime targets are met. KRA 6: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS a. Academic &; Professional Particulars Detail Specific Field or Qualification Education High school diploma Certificate or Diploma in Motor Required Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
b. Experience Total Minimum No of Years’ Experience Required 3yrs hands-on experience
