Job Description
  • Responsibilities

Take full P&L ownership of the lodge, driving revenue growth, profitability and cost control across all departments

  • Direct day-to-day operations across rooms, F&B, conferencing, activities and back-of-house functions
  • Develop and execute revenue management and distribution strategy across OTA and direct channels
  • Lead, develop and manage a multi-departmental team, including HR and industrial relations matters

Maintain and elevate service standards, SOPs and guest experience consistent with a premier riverfront destination

  • Oversee capital projects, refurbishments and asset maintenance in coordination with ownership
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting to ownership/investors
  • Ensure full compliance with Botswana tourism, safety, environmental and labour regulations

Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, DWNP/park authorities, suppliers and the local Kasane community

  • Requirements
  • 15+ years’ progressive hospitality leadership experience, including multi-property or multi-site operations
  • Proven track record of turning around underperforming properties and driving sustained revenue growth

Strong command of PMS, POS, OTA and channel management systems (e.g. Opera, Micros, eZee, HotSoft or equivalent)

  • Demonstrated experience delivering capital/refurbishment projects and managing budgets of significant value
  • Solid grounding in HR and industrial relations, with the ability to lead large, diverse teams

Experience operating in remote, high-value tourism or ecologically sensitive environments is a strong advantage

Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Business or a related field is required; additional qualifications in areas such as Project Management, Business Leadership/Coaching, or Process Improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) are an advantage. Botswana work eligibility or citizenship preferred
