Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category marketing strategies that align with business objectives and drive profitable growth.
  • Analyze consumer behavior, market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop annual category plans, including pricing, promotions, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead new product launches and support product lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Trade Marketing teams to ensure successful execution of category plans.
  • Monitor category performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Manage category marketing budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Conduct market research and customer insight studies to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with advertising and creative agencies to develop effective marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on category performance and business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • A Master's Degree or professional marketing qualification (CIM or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in category management, brand management, or marketing.
  • Experience in the FMCG, agribusiness, food manufacturing, or consumer goods industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful category growth strategies.

  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights and market research techniques.
  • Financial and budget management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using marketing analytics and reporting tools is an advantage.
