Job Description
We are building a Caregivers pool to be considered for future job openings for House Managers Agencies Association (HMAA).

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and is committed to promoting the health, safety, and well-being of our patients. You will play a vital role in daily patient support, including hygiene maintenance, monitoring vitals, and ensuring patient comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care & Hygiene:Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, while maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene and infection control.
  • Medical Monitoring:Record patient vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) and report any significant changes to the nursing or medical team.
  • Patient Comfort: Ensure patients are comfortable in their rooms, assist with mobility as needed, and provide companionship to improve their emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care activities, including intake, output, and observations made during your shift.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all facility infection control protocols, safety procedures, and occupational health standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Academic and Professional Qualifications
  • Training: Certificate in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
  • Education:Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
  • Experience: Previous clinical working experience in a nursing home or hospital setting is highly preferred.
  • Documentation: Copy of National Identification document (ID/Passport) and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

Skills and Competencies
  • Compassion & Empathy:A genuine desire to help others and a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Reliability:Demonstrable history of punctuality and consistency in high-pressure environments.
  • Clinical Proficiency: Basic understanding of medical terminology, vital sign monitoring, and hygiene protocols.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with patients, families, and the medical team.
  • Organization: Ability to manage patient schedules and keep accurate, legible records.
