Job Description

Job Purpose

The Driver is responsible for safe and timely transportation of cleaning teams, equipment, and materials between the office, stores, and client job sites. The role also covers day-to-day care of the company vehicle, ensuring it remains roadworthy, properly serviced, and well-maintained at all times.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Transport cleaning teams, supervisors, equipment, and materials safely to and from client job sites as scheduled.

2. Plan routes in advance to ensure punctual arrival and departure for all assignments.

3. Assist the team with loading and offloading machines, tools, and cleaning materials at the start and end of each job.

4. Carry out daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, tyres, brakes, lights, mirrors) before and after each trip.

5. Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and presentable at all times, both inside and outside

6. Schedule and follow up on routine vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance with approved garages/service providers.

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of mileage, fuel consumption, servicing history, and trip logs.

8. Promptly report any mechanical faults, accidents, or incidents to the Operations Manager.

9. Ensure the vehicle's insurance, inspection sticker, and other statutory requirements are valid and renewed on time.

10. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, speed limits, and company driving and safety policies at all times.

11. Support other operational and errand duties as assigned by the supervisor (e.g., picking up supplies, dropping off documents).


Qualifications & Requirements

✓ O’ Level KCSE certificate or equivalent.

✓ Valid Kenyan driving license (Class BCE) in good standing.

✓ Valid PSV license, where the role involves regularly transporting staff/teams.

✓ Minimum 3 years' driving experience, preferably in a commercial or service-delivery environment.

✓ Good working knowledge of Nairobi and its environs, including alternative routes.

✓ Clean driving record with no major traffic offences.

✓ Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify mechanical issues early.

✓ Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

Working Conditions The role involves daily travel across Nairobi and surrounding areas to client sites, with working hours determined by job schedules. This may occasionally include early starts, late finishes, or weekend assignments to meet client and operational needs.
