We’re Hiring: Purchasing Staff
As a Purchasing Staff member, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the café has the right ingredients, supplies, and operational support needed every single day.
You’ll work closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and management to maintain efficient inventory flow and cost-effective purchasing processes.
What You’ll Do:
Procurement & Purchase Order Management
Prepare, monitor, and reconcile Purchase Orders (POs) based on operational and stock requirements
Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely replenishment of supplies
Inventory Monitoring & Auditing
Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and physical stock audits
Investigate discrepancies and help improve inventory accuracy
Supplier Coordination
Serve as the main point of contact for suppliers and vendors
Resolve concerns related to deliveries, pricing, shortages, or product quality
Receiving & Quality Inspection
Oversee the receiving of stocks and ensure that delivered items match approved POs
Verify product quality, quantity, and condition upon arrival
Data & System Management
Update Inventory Management Systems (IMS) or ERP platforms with stock entries, pricing updates, and usage reports
Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records
Reporting & Cost Control
Generate monthly reports on procurement spending, inventory movement, stock turnover, and slow-moving items
Support cost-saving initiatives and purchasing efficiency improvements
Process Improvement
Recommend better purchasing, storage, and inventory practices
Help implement systems that improve operational efficiency and minimize waste
Inventory & Waste Reduction
Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and inventory control practices to reduce spoilage and product loss
Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels without over-ordering
Menu Costing Support
Coordinate with operations and kitchen teams to support menu costing and profitability analysis for new products
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Is highly organized and detail-oriented
Has strong coordination and communication skills
Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Is proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented
Has experience in purchasing, inventory, or warehouse operations (preferred but not required)
Wants to grow in operations, procurement, and supply chain management
